Wooden Cutting Boards Endorsed By US Health Agencies Over Plastic

Chef Remi alerts customers to the fact that synthetic materials are not safe

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The Chef Remi Rubber Wood Cutting Board, is one of Chef Remi's most popular products.

With its naturally anti-bacterial properties, a surface that will not dull knives, and made from sustainable close-grain hardwood, it fits the needs of any family.

US health agencies previously endorsed plastic and other synthetic cutting boards, but now only endorse close-grain hardwood boards, since the University of Wisconsin conducted an eye opening study.

Researchers found that wood surfaces had the miraculous ability to draw bacteria away from the cutting surface, deep into the board where it could not multiply.

Chef Remi is 100% committed to designing genuine quality kitchen tools to support busy parents that take the time to cook for their family. "We have designed a cutting board that gives our customers a safe, anti-bacterial surface for all their food prep needs:

·    We educate our customers that synthetic cutting boards are only safe when they have no scratches or knife marks (impossible after just a few weeks of use).

·    Even a dishwasher cannot sanitize a scratched synthetic board, whereas even a scratched wooden board draws bacteria away from the scratched surface, as the University of Wisconsin found.

·    We use rubber wood in our cutting boards, which has a very close grain. This means it is less porous than other woods, and therefore more sanitary.

·    Rubber wood is much kinder to your knives than materials such as glass or granite, and will not dull them."

Chef Remi believes that families are the centerpiece of society, and communities are stronger when they sit down together, even if it's over a quick, wholesome meal. "We believe that every child deserves a home cooked meal with a family who loves them."
