2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt Information Released

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt., Feb. 28, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- At the 2018 Detroit Auto Show in January, the new 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt was revealed, celebrating 50 years since the launch of the original in Steve McQueen's chase seen in 1968's Bullitt. The new 2019 Mustang Bullitt has a modern styling, which is based on the current Mustang GT but will be available in black and highland green. The colors of Steve McQueen's original vehicle.

The model showcased at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show showed that the 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt has had its performance increased, giving an edge over even the standard GT model. The retuned 5.0-liter V8 Engine in the Bullitt will produce at least 475 horsepower, at least according to the Ford spokesperson, a 15-horsepower increase over the standard 2018 GT.

The interior was also something to be admired, drawing heavy inspiration from the 1968 film. The shifter for the vehicle is a white cue ball, which was part of the original car's design, and the interior has green stitching on the dashboard, doors, center console, and seats. This complements the black leather-trimmed interior, which comes standard, and brings out the Steve McQueen feel.

The 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt will also have all the features of the standard Ford Mustang GT, with a few extras like the Bullitt Electronics Package. This package will include navigation, driver's seat memory, and upgraded audio, and more.

Buyers can expect that there will be a price increase when compared to the Mustang GT, but not as high as the Shelby GT350. The exact details are still unknown.
