Trymbl Launches First "Try Before You Buy," Subscription-Free Beauty E-commerce Site

Shoppers select products to try, without any cost, subscription or box!

SAN FRANCISCO, March 4, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Today, Founders Mona Bajwa and Nitin Pachisia announce the launch of Trymbl, the first beauty and cosmetics e-commerce site with a "try before you buy" business model.

Trymbl enables members to select and try the products they like, without incurring any cost or commitment to buy. This innovative shopping experience combines the convenience of online shopping with the confidence of in-store browsing.

Trymbl is not like Birchbox or other subscription services; there is no monthly or other fees and the shopper decides what they wants to try, and when. Trials are shipped when requested by the member, and not as a monthly box. 

Trying at Trymbl covers a full spectrum of products – including those that are not made in trial sizes which account for over 70% of beauty products.    With Trymbl's "Love it or Leave It" program users order a full-sized product, without paying anything until they decide to buy it. If they love it, they keep it, and payment is charged after the 15-day trial period; if not, they simply return it without any questions asked.  With Love It or Leave It, Trymbl gives the shopper complete control and eliminates any fear of purchasing a product that may not end up being what was wanted or expected."We have learned that 80% of women research beauty products online, but are not confident enough to buy online without a sensory experience of the product, for instance visiting Sephora" said Mona Bajwa, co-founder. There are currently over 30 brands (including Coola, Chella and Belli skincare) represented in over 1300 SKU's, and they continue to add brands that  align with their philosophy of providing  ingredient-conscious, emerging premium products which are carefully selected by a panel of experts. Some of these brands, such as Mukti and Sasy n Savy, are available exclusively at Trymbl in the USA.. The catalog includes vegan, organic and gluten-free offerings as well.

On the backend, Trymbl's proprietary personalization engine analyzes which members are likely to find the most relevant products in the catalog (based on their profile and social media activity) and invites those members before inviting members who may not find many relevant products.

In beta since June 2013, Trymbl is now launching with an invite-only model and a redesigned website, with member numbers in the tens of thousands.
