Traxo Launches Verified Travel Reviews Platform, Designed To Block Fakers

Company Commits to Arm Travel Industry with the Truth in the Review Process

DALLAS, March 6, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Traxo, the top website for managing all your travel plans and loyalty programs in a single place, launches the cure for the fake review epidemic; the industry's first comprehensive "verified reviews" platform for flights and hotels.

Travelers have come to cherish reviews written by real travelers, but unfortunately they've had to worry whether the reviews written on many of the popular travel review sites were actually fake or solicited by hotel managers looking to artificially elevate their ratings.

With the new cross-platform user review system, Traxo is positioned to be the most trusted platform of verified and legitimate user reviews written across the widest swath of the travel industry. Other industries have turned to purchase verification-type systems like Amazon Verified Purchase.

"We've developed the first seamless, effortless way for travelers to write and read verified reviews regardless of where the travel was booked, and across travel types, including hotels and flights today, and soon for other segment types like car rental and cruises," says Andres Fabris, Traxo co-founder and CEO. "This is the cross-platform solution that travelers and suppliers have been waiting for because Traxo now eliminates the cumbersome process of having to sift through the growing number of fake or otherwise-manipulated reviews on other sites.

Once users register for free on Traxo, they can choose to either forward their travel confirmation emails or enter frequent flyer, hotel and loyalty program information. Traxo then seamlessly and securely keeps track of all their bookings made across the Web through a sophisticated system that provides technological verification of their travel bookings and itineraries. Only once travelers have completed their flight or hotel stay, Traxo sends them an invitation (through their Traxo account) to write a verified review.   A traveler who hasn't stayed at the hotel or taken the flight would not receive an invite and a review would not be able to be published.  Verified review content already available on the Traxo system can be viewed here:

Other travel companies, such as Expedia and USA Today's new HotelMe, have started to make progress trying to address the fake review dilemma, but their solutions are highly limited. Expedia offers verified reviews through only the companies they own, but if travelers book other parts of their trips on Priceline or Orbitz, you'd have to hopscotch around the Web to try to find those reviews. And HotelMe's verified reviews only come from a handful of participating hotels, and only when booked directly on the hotels' websites.

With Traxo's new verified review system, now consumers can rest assured that reviews they read on the site are the real deal, leading to hassle-free planning and allowing them to focus on taking the best possible trips.
