Members of the Fox Valley EAA will be showing off their privately-owned electric vehicles that include many of today's most popular electric models as well as some rare options. Club members, as well as automotive industry experts, will be available to answer questions from the curious event attendees about any electric vehicle issue they can think of. Given that the location of this National Drive Electric Week event is being held at the Naperville Test Track, interested parties can register through the Fox Valley EAA website to take a ride with the owner of an electric vehicle to get a first-hand feeling of how it handles daily driving conditions that are well represented and simulated.

Toyota remains one of the global automotive industry leaders in the development and production of electric and hybrid vehicles. Toyota and its network of authorized network of dealers has sold approximately two million hybrid vehicles around the world. All of this was started by the Toyota Prius, one of the first production hybrid vehicles; and certainly the hybrid car that proved to a skeptical American audience that hybrid technology was practical and viable. Since then, the Toyota hybrid car fleet has grown to include almost every nameplate of Toyota vehicle currently in production.

The Toyota Highland Hybrid that will be shown off at the Fox Valley EAA event next month is likely going to stand out from the rest of the vehicles in the crowd. Most of the rest of the examples of electric plug-in and hybrid vehicles that will be shown off are of the sedan, sportster or hatchback variety. The Toyota Highlander Hybrid is bristling with 280 horsepower that uses a combination of a gasoline-powered V-6 engine and a series of electric motors to allow the vehicle to achieve nearly 30 miles per gallon.

The entire Toyota of Naperville inventory can be viewed on the dealership's new responsive website, www.toyotaofnaperville.com.
