LAS VEGAS, July 15, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The International School of Hospitality (TISOH) announced today that the Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP®) program of the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (EI) will be offered at TISOH's training facility in Las Vegas on a regular basis from August onwards.
"TISOH is a school that emphasizes practical continuing education and career training programs designed to build a qualified workforce for the hospitality industry," commented Executive Director Timothy Lam. "The CGSP® at TISOH is highly complementary to the school's academic programs. In addition, because it features guest service skills immediately applicable to the work environment in a concentrated 3.5-hour training, it will be a program hospitality employers will find value in and want to send their employees to."
The Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP®) designation provides recognition for those individuals that know how to achieve and express exceptional service by engaging with their guests and creating memorable experiences. Recognized worldwide, the CGSP® designation is an acknowledgment of exemplary guest service for employees in the hospitality industry.
Those working in any area or level in hospitality qualify to attend. Successful candidates will receive a certificate and CGSP® gold lapel pin, to be worn on their uniform in recognition of their knowledge and skills in guest service.
To qualify for the CGSP® designation, individuals must successfully complete the 3.5-hour training seminar taught by experienced hospitality professionals targeted to the specific needs of Las Vegas, be currently employed in any hospitality position and successfully pass the 30-question certification exam with a score of 70% or higher.
