FARMINGDALE, N.Y., March 20, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The Board of Trustees of the Educational Research Center of America ("ERCA") is pleased to announce its new formal mission statement:

The Educational Research Center of America (ERCA), a not-for-profit research organization, motivates students to explore career pathways relevant to their interests, education, and passions. 

We partner with youth development organizations, institutions of higher education, teachers, counselors, parents, students, and prospective employers to inspire and empower a highly skilled future workforce.

Our research stimulates career opportunity for all students, whether they opt for a community college, four year college or university, or other form of education and continuing development.  We strive to reach female and male students, from all geographies and economic backgrounds.

In conjunction with its new mission statement announcement, ERCA looks forward to:

  • continuing to conduct research to identify students' career and educational interests and goals;
  • motivating students to build a path forward that achieves their objectives and embraces their passions;
  • connecting students with career and educational opportunities; and
  • generating an interactive dialogue among students, parents, educators, counselors and employers to support successful career outcomes.
