About The Earth-Day E-Waste Scavenger Hunt™

The Earth-Day E-Waste Scavenger Hunt™ is an innovative project to protect the global environment by reducing E-Waste and resources in communities, landfills, and high-desserts due to illegal-dumping.  The E-Waste reduction will help prevent the leakage of various hazardous toxins (i.e., Mercury, Lead, Cadmium, etc) found in E-Waste that is polluting our soil and water systems.  Also, proper recycling also helps save landfill space for the appropriate waste streams; help conserve natural resources through the reuse of the recovered materials and minimizing fossil fuel and energy consumption by utilizing the existing resources.

Most importantly, this event creates a new support avenue for schools, school clubs and organizations, and other educational organizations in their continued commitment to nurture and enrich our children, while allowing community activists and clubs in their continued effort to bring support to their communities. This month-long event brings awareness to communities concerning the effects of E-Waste, and proper recycling practices.  The event also instills good values in our children, teaching them the important fact, "There are infinite possibilities if we set our minds to it such as this creative event."
