LOS ANGELES, April 24, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Actress Tammi Mac sets the stage in Bag Lady with a dramatic performance that will resonate with audiences. Bag Lady exposes the baggage of a woman weighed down heavily by her choices in men. Also written by Mac, we witness the Bag Lady accumulate a bag full of issues that include, the drug game, baby mama drama, a groupie lifestyle and attempted murder. Award-winning Director Iona Morris helms the production; guiding Mac on a soul-bearing exploration of one woman's journey through life's ups and downs. Presented through a series of vignettes, Mac takes on dysfunctional relationships from personal experiences as well as those of friends. She adds,"Every woman faces heartbreak from a relationship. Not every woman faces the heartbreak she brings on herself. The play is less about bad men and more about bad decisions and being accountable for the choices that put you in volatile situations. It's what we think of ourselves."
A formally trained actress with a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre, Mac has also trained with the infamous improve school, The Groundlings. Her theatrical work in L.A. includes performances in the award-winning production of The Piano Lesson, by August Wilson, The Bachelorette Party produced by Will Smith, Don B.
