SymPlay launches Kickstarter campaign to fund a new type of game for children and parents.

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Zody's Wild World encourages parents and children to play together via a unique iPad game. Instead of your child isolated on the iPad, playing games alone, why not play together? Zody's Wild World is a classic dungeon crawl style game with two twists - the iPad reads the cards you play to animate the adventure and your characters use their mind power as well as their "weapons". The project started as a means to help children with autism and their parents engage with each other. The Kickstarter campaign ( aims to create an expanded game to provide a product that all parents can use.

In Zody's Wild World, parents and children act as a team against the monsters. The "battle" is won, in part, based on how well your characters work together to combine abilities. Play teams have a MindSet factor that monitors emotional state. Are you hungry, angry, silly, not paying attention? The monsters will try to make you that way so you can't fight them back. This feature was built as a result of experience working with children and learning what factors affect a child's ability to play and interact with others.

Games are quick. Each "battle" lasts a half dozen rounds. A single game at the basic level takes 6 to 10 encounters to complete. Visuals are light-hearted and humorous – appealing to all ages. "This is a very novel and interesting way to let your kids play video games but bond with family at the same time!", wrote one mother.

The "all-or-nothing" Kickstarter campaign is running through Feb, 28, 2013. Top tier backers can become the model for one of the game monsters or receive an iPad mini preloaded with the game. To see more information or back the project, visit the Kickstarter page at .
