NEW YORK, March 5, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- New York, NY – New York-based Stein + Partners Brand Activation and UK-based IAS b2b Marketing today announced their agreement to launch a new, combined agency named SteinIAS.
The venture comes at a time when BtoB Magazine in the United States has just named Stein + Partners its 2013 'Agency of the Year' in the mid-sized agency category, and IAS topped The Drum Magazine's league of most awarded UK agencies.
These recent accolades come hard on the heels of the Business Marketing Association (BMA) naming IAS its 'Agency of the Year' in 2011 and Stein + Partners its 'Agency of the Year' in 2010. IAS was the first non-U.S. agency ever to receive this prestigious acknowledgment.
SteinIAS are staffed by 100+ marketing professionals around the world. Its clients range from Atos, BP Castrol and the Chicago Board Options Exchange to KPMG, Pearson, Nespresso and Wolters Kluwer.
SteinIAS launches with offices in New York, London, Manchester, Paris and Shanghai. Each of these offices will continue to conduct business as usual, with each hub managing its historic client base. Importantly, key executives and teams remain dedicated to current accounts. Cross-office and cross-functional teams will lead global initiatives.
The new agency will vie for a leading role on the global B2B marketing stage. To this end - and in a bold, first combined move - SteinIAS is opening an office in Shanghai to provide global clients with access to the fast-growing Chinese B2B market.
"As IAS and Stein got to know each other, it was apparent just how similar our focus, models, integrated processes and all-round approach are," says Rob Morrice, Managing Director of SteinIAS, EMEA and Asia. "We share the same vision – to be globally recognized as the B2B agency that best delivers brand strategy, multichannel creativity and technology-powered go-to-market approaches. It made great sense to strengthen our individual assets by bringing the best of the best together under the same brand," Morrice adds.
"By creating SteinIAS, we are better meeting the needs of many of our existing clients and providing a more robust capability for major brands with global, regional and local marketing requirements," states Tom Stein, President of SteinIAS, Americas. "But SteinIAS is intended to be much more even than that," Stein notes.
"We intend to create a 'best of the best' alternative to holding company and very large agency networks. We bring a rare blend of intensity, creativity, technology-enablement and synchronization to the table," Stein says. "This is decidedly not business-to-business as usual."
Morrice points to Stein's celebrated Brand Activation and IAS's acclaimed B2B Evolve models as industry paradigms that have been at the root of a huge body of highly effective, award-winning work. Specifically, in this regard, the agencies collectively won 85 awards in 2012 alone. Now, united globally, SteinIAS is moving aggressively to expand existing relationships and forge new ones with global brand leaders.
"IAS and Stein + Partners became working partners when we joined the Business Branding Network (BBN)," Stein says. "Now, we believe the time has come to capitalize on our special relationship and initiate one of the biggest shake-ups B2B marketing has seen in some time," he concludes.
"Our sights are firmly set on increasing our international footprint and forging the important partnerships we need to enhance our capabilities and global standing," Morrice adds.
SteinIAS is a global branding and integrated marketing agency that believes "business-to-business as usual" can no longer carry the day. It takes a new and different kind of agency: intensely creative, strategically driven, technology powered and with evolved approach to B2B in order to drive and sustain results nationally and globally. By joining together Stein + Partners Brand Activation, the acclaimed New York-based agency with 25 years+ years of B2B marketing leadership, and IAS b2b Marketing, which has been at the forefront of the UK/European business-to-business sector since 1973, SteinIAS is now a major player on the global stage
