DENVER, March 25, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Rich Johnson of Fox News Radio interviewed Brandon Davis, the CEO of Swan Energy, about his recent decision to purchase Swan Racing and participate in the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Swan Energy, an independent oil and natural gas producer, is currently a primary sponsor for Swan Racing. Focused on drilling and developing wells throughout Oklahoma, Colorado, and parts of Texas and Kansas, Swan Energy views the NASCAR team as a good resource for marketing.
Brandon Davis explains how the purchase was a business decision based on the ability to utilize Swan Racing as a marketing tool saying "Our biggest push with the NASCAR team is with our investors and doing hospitality at the racetracks." He describes the Sprint Cup Series as "the best place in the world to do business." Brandon explains on Fox News Radio that he looks at the decision from a marketing standpoint for Swan Energy and plans on use the team as a business tool, with hopes to build more businesses around it.
When questioned by Rich Johnson what his plans were for Swan Racing, Brandon Davis stated "I am here to win and eventually we want to build a championship team." Represented by the #30 car, with driver David Stremme, Swan Racing promises to not be a start and park team. (Start and Park is a term used to describe a team that qualifies and starts a race, only to run a few laps, and receive a check, requiring minimal investments). Brandon Davis tells Fox News "I'm a competitor." Swan Racing plans to race hard every lap and finish every race, while striving to earn enough points to place in the top 30 for the season.
Brandon describes the NASCAR community as a big family and assures Rich Johnson that he intends to personal attend every race. While he understands that it is a slow process to build up Swan Racing, he is confident that with a strong team led by Tony Eury Jr. as Crew Chief and Steve Hmiel as the Competition director, they could finish in the top 25 points for the season.
