NEW YORK, Jan. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York (RMA of New York), a Manhattan-based fertility clinic with an extensive history of providing quality personalized care for patients requiring reproductive assistance, proudly announces the arrival of their newest physician, Sheeva Talebian, M.D.  Dr. Talebian will begin treating patients this month at RMA of New York's Manhattan headquarters, located at 635 Madison Avenue between 59th and 60th Streets.

Since 2001, RMA of New York has treated patients for infertility as Mount Sinai's Division of Reproductive Endocrinology, and is recognized as a worldwide leader in in vitro fertilization (IVF) technology. The physicians of RMA are actively involved in groundbreaking medical research including the study of genomic indicators which allow women to predict and manage their reproductive potential, screening of embryos for disease and implantation potential, stem cell biology, oncofertility (preserving the fertility of women with cancer), and much more.

After being graduated Magna Cum Laude from Columbia University, Dr. Talebian earned her medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. She completed her internship and residency at the New York University School of Medicine/Bellevue Hospital, where she also served as Administrative Chief Resident for two years, and completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.  After practicing at the Northwest Center for Reproductive Sciences in Washington and Valley Fertility Center in New Jersey, Dr. Talebian is enthusiastic about returning to the institution where she began her medical education, stating, "It is a privilege to return to Mount Sinai and to provide reproductive care to women and couples in New York."  RMA of New York Co-Director Dr. Alan Copperman welcomed Dr. Talebian, and believes that her abilities will complement those of the RMA-Mount Sinai team, and that, "Whether she is treating patients for elective preservation of fertility through egg freezing or administering advanced reproductive technologies to treat infertility, Dr. Talebian's kind and compassionate manner and evidence based delivery will be an asset to our practice and to our patients."
