RCare Pledges Donation to American Heart Association in Celebration of National Heart Month

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Jan. 31, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The Rochester-based creators of the RCare wireless nurse call and advanced monitoring system announced today a monetary donation to the American Heart Association this month in commemoration of February being "National Heart Month". The American Heart Association is the nation's oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. RCare is a leading provider of innovative nurse call and monitoring technologies to senior housing and long term care populations.

The American Heart Association (AHA) has been saving lives since 1924. They are the leading source of CPR training in the nation, they educate health professionals on science-based treatment guidelines, and they advocate for public policies that improve the nation's health.

"Heart disease and stroke remain the number 1 and number 3 causes of death in our community. That is why it's so important Rochesterians unite during Heart Month and become part of the American Heart Association's movement to live longer, healthier lives," said Jason Stulb, Senior Director of Development for the American Heart Association. "We are very excited to have RCare helping us lead the way this year.  It's a huge step toward a heart healthy Rochester, and the funds they raise truly help our community".

As a technology innovator in the aging and healthcare markets, RCare is passionate about preventative care, chronic disease management and the notion of better lives, particularly as we age. In honor of American Heart Month, RCare is delighted to promise 5% of all February profits up to $25,000 to the American Heart Association. This donation will help the AHA carry out its mission of reducing heart disease and heart-related deaths through research, training, and advocacy.

RCare's solutions can be found in long-term care and skilled nursing communities across the country and globally. RCare facilitates fast, efficient care and provides detailed reporting which informs quality improvement initiatives across the industry.

"We view ourselves as a holistic solutions provider for the healthcare population," said Myron Kowal, CEO of RCare. "We came into this business with a mission to improve health and well-being using the latest in technology innovations. We are enthusiastic to support the American Heart Association this month. Their fight is our fight and we're all in this together."
