RCare Brews Quality at Summit

ROCHESTER, N.Y., March 12, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- RCare Inc., creator of advanced wireless nurse call and monitoring systems, is proud to sponsor the third annual AHCA/NCAL Quality Summit in New Orleans. The Summit, held March 12th through the 14th, will focus on quality of care for long-term and post-acute care providers.

RCare is the only nurse call system provider to attend and sponsor this prestigious event. RCare will be showcasing some of its features designed to enhance the quality initiatives of these senior communities. "QAPI" will be a big talking point for many leaders in attendance. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) defines QAPI as: "A data-driven, proactive approach to improving the quality of life, care, and services in nursing homes." It starts with quality assurance (QA). Then it adds performance improvement (PI) to make the quality of services even better.

"With all of the new QAPI mandates, communities are turning to technology for help," said RCare CEO Myron Kowal. "Our advanced reporting tools can help administrators better identify problems and fix them. This is paramount to any effective QAPI strategy." According to Kowal, RCare has put a great deal of effort into the impact nurse call systems can have on quality improvement for senior housing. "From improved resident satisfaction to better staff retention, RCare can help support and invigorate your quality improvement efforts."

RCare's reporting package, "RMetrix," included in all its nurse call systems, provides hard data which can be used to assess care quality improvement strategies. RMetrix provides actionable data so communities can optimize staffing and improve call response times. The reports are highly customizable. This is critical to quality programs which need to set benchmarks, identify measurable goals, and assess the progress being made.

"And if you don't have the expertise or the time, we can do it for you," explains Kowal. "We have business analysts who can build customized reports for you so you can get exactly the data you need for your quality improvement programs." These fee-for-service reports can be very economical for communities who do not have the capability in-house to create them. RCare's Enterprise RMetrix reporting can even compare data across multiple campuses in real time.

RCare is a Contributing Sponsor of the AHCA/NCAL Quality Summit. They will be offering free cups of (QAPI) coffee to participants who stop by to talk about their quality initiatives, and the benefits of having the right nurse call system.
