LONG ISLAND, New York, March 31, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- General Counsel Solutions, a leading provider of outsourced legal services announced today that it has merged with Protegrity Managed Professional Services and will now offer services under the name Protegrity Advisors, LLC. The merger will create a combined company that can assist CEOs, CFOs, and General Counsels of companies to optimize their return on investment for Legal and M&A related professional services.
Since 2003, General Counsel Solutions has been providing managed legal services to clients with experienced general counsel and outsourced corporate attorneys, on an as-needed basis. The company has helped manage the in-house legal function for companies which were acquired by the likes of Oracle, Expedia, Microsoft, Broadridge and SAP. The former Protegrity Managed Professional Services (and its predecessor, Virtual CDO) provided M&A advisory services to more than 100 clients across a broad range of industries. Now as a result of the this merger, Protegrity Advisors will serve as a single provider to manage many of the critical professional services requirements companies have from inception through exit, allowing client executives more time and budget to focus on growth.
The new company will operate under the leadership of Gregg Schor in the position of President, Managed Legal Services and Bruce Newman serving as President, M&A Services.
Gregg Schor is the founder of General Counsel Solutions and has previously held roles such as deputy and general counsel, director European operations, and senior vice president human resources for companies which were ultimately acquired by IBM, Microsoft and EMC. "We are uniquely positioned to help companies manage both their in-house and outside law firm requirements. For in-house requirements, we have an extensive bench of former general counsels and subject matter experts to pull from, and when law firms are needed anywhere in the world, we identify and qualify the firms, project manage the relationship for our clients and act as a single point of contact.
