Produce Safety Researchers Awarded

ABC Research Laboratories provides travel grant to Center for Produce Safety Symposium

GAINESVILLE, Fla., June 11, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- ABC Research Laboratories has awarded travel grants to three up-and-coming scientists to attend the Center for Produce Safety Produce Research Symposium.  Angela Valadez, University of Florida; Zhao Chen, Clemson University; and Casey Harris, University of Georgia, have received news of their award.  Each recipient will receive $500 toward their travel along with complimentary event registration.

This grant was made available to all researchers working to improve produce safety.  Applications were evaluated on the relevance of the applicant's research to practical concerns in produce safety, their ability to effectively communicate research findings, and their ability to conduct relevant and robust research.
