"Through my personal, client and group work, I've made so many connections between those who are ADD, Asperger's, autistic, life pirates, addicts, depressed/anxious/bi-polar and black sheep…I believe we were all born to FREAK. We were put here not to fit in, but to see things differently, ruffle feathers, and return balance to the world and our communities by using our creative abilities, our healing presence, and eccentric gifts." Seidelmann states in her book.

Seidelmann quit a successful career as a pathologist to explore her interest in animal totems, become a student at the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, work as a life coach, teach tele-classes, and host women's surfing and spiritual retreats in Hawaii and other beautiful spots in nature.

The book encourages the reader into being their best, FREAKY selves. The format features chapters A-Z with titles such as "F is for Failure" and "I is for Irrepressible"." Using personal anecdotes, Seidelmann show FREAKS how to "HOCUS-POCUS-FOCUS" their attention to achieve dreams and ambitions. Each chapter ends with a series of questions to personalize the concepts for each reader.

In addition to her medical education, Seidelmann also trained as a life coach with O Magazine's famed Martha Beck. Her first book, What The Walrus Knows: An Eccentric's Field Guide to Working with Beastie Energies went to #1 in its category on Amazon the day it launched. Seidelmann also guest blogs for Maria Shriver's Open Field blog, and was peer-selected to be a featured speaker at the 2012 Martha Beck Inc's Coaches Summit. Seidelmann lives with her husband and four children in Duluth, MN along the shores of Lake Superior, and is available for interview.
