KENOSHA, Wis., Feb. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Get ready, get set…SAVE. The annual Palmen 1000 Auto Sale kicked off this week just in time for the Milwaukee Auto Show. Andy Palmen, President of the Palmen Automotive Group raised the green flag to start the event last Friday announcing a goal to sell 1,200 vehicles by April 30th. 2013 marks the third year for the event which runs from the middle of February through April.
All five Palmen dealerships including Palmen Motors (Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram) in Kenosha, Palmen of Racine(Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram), Palmen Kia , Palmen Fiat and Palmen Buick/GMC/Cadillac, the final three all in Kenosha - offering 2,000 vehicles in stock - will participate in this event.
What started as an idea to jump-start the selling season has turned into one of the biggest auto sales in Wisconsin.
"Three years ago, we were looking for a way get some excitement going at the dealerships in a slumping auto market, and the Palmen 1000 turned out to be one of the most successful events we've ever had," said Palmen.
Even though the event is called the Palmen 1000 named after the initial goal to sell 1000 vehicles, Palmen has upped the goal by 10% every year.
"Last year our goal was 1000 cars and we sold 1,100, this year, I believe we can sell 1,200," commented Palmen.
2013 promises to be an exciting year for car buyers as all the manufacturers Palmen represents have new product offerings and are coming off sales increases. Wisconsin and Northern Illinois car buyers can expect to find big discounts, extremely affordable leases and top dollar for all trade-ins during this event.
