Northampton County, PA Purchases Disparate Data-Integration Solution from CODY Systems for Cross-Agency Tactical Information Sharing

Northampton County PA becomes sixth (6th) county in Eastern Pennsylvania to purchase CODY Systems' COBRA.net Disparate Data-Integration system to allow deputies and officers a one-stop search of all connected law enforcement databases across the county

POTTSTOWN, Pa., Jan. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Northampton County, PA has engaged CODY Systems to provide real-time access to disparate agency RMS information across county and local law enforcement agencies within Northampton County via CODY's COBRA.net Information-sharing platform with its C.tac 5 Tactical Search App. Through a link to the County's Jail system, county jail data will also be available for searching through COBRA.net, using the C.tac 5 App.

In subsequent phases of the project, it is anticipated that a connection will be made, linking the Northampton County COBRA.net with other existing COBRA.net systems, to create a wider, interstate information-sharing system in the region.

Northampton County becomes the sixth (6th) county in Eastern Pennsylvania to purchase a COBRA.net/C.tac 5 disparate data integration system from CODY Systems. Other COBRA.net projects in PA include the Counties of Berks, Lehigh, Chester, and Clinton, a deployment in Bucks County, and the South Central PA Regional Task Force. CODY's COBRA.net install base is also growing nationwide, as is evidenced by the rapidly growing Missouri Data Exchange (MoDEx), where COBRA.net fuels the State's state-wide law enforcement information exchange network across local, county and State law enforcement agencies.

COBRA.Net/C.tac 5 is CODY's industry-leading disparate data fusion system which provides deputies and officers across the county with real-time, actionable information on individuals, vehicles, incidents, safety alerts and more from across all connected RMS and other databases, at the desktop, in mobile units and in the field.

Northampton County Sheriff Randy Miller approved the purchase of the COBRA.net/C.tac 5 solution to protect the citizens of Northampton by reducing crime through better-informed and intelligence-led policing through faster access to cross-agency information.
