COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., June 20, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- It's not everyday you can work on your long drive while making an impact in the lives of almost 40,000 families using cannabinoid therapies, but this June, that's a possibility. Realm of Caring (RoC) is gearing up for its 4th Annual Golf Tournament at the award winning Bear Dance Golf Club in Larkspur, CO on June 22nd.

The funds raised by the annual golf tournament go directly to RoC's programs and services. A portion goes to replenish and grow Realm Cares™ Financial Aid fund. Realm Cares, a quality of life program, makes direct deposits to recipients every month to help offset the cost of a therapy not covered by insurance. For 2017, the Realm Cares budget is $120,000, assisting over 75 families; however, as impressive as that may seem, it is still less than a 10% acceptance rate for the program.
Education is also another key component of RoC's mission. RoC conducts bi-weekly educational seminars geared towards consumers, doctors and the general public, and staffs a team dedicated to answering questions from around the world. RoC receives an average of 8,000 inquiries every month. A portion of proceeds will also go to helping increase access to this invaluable education provided by RoC, an organization considered a leader in cannabinoid science and research by partnering with Johns Hopkins University in various research projects.
This year's tournament will be held at The Golf Club at Bear Dance, the home course of The Colorado Section of the Professional Golfers' Association of America. Bear Dance offers 18 Holes of championship golf amidst 753 acres of mountainous terrain, and stunning views of the Front Range and surrounding Rocky Mountains. Consistently rated as Colorado's best and most challenging public golf course, Bear Dance presents generous tree-lined fairways and intricate greens, providing a true mountain golf experience for tournament goers, as well as tranquility and natural splendor for the evening events, including networking and cocktail hour, dinner, auction and live entertainment. It is a night for all. What else could you ask for?
Attendees for the event will have a chance to mingle with VIPs such as UFC fighters Nate Marquardt, Liz Carmouche, and Justin Gaethje, as well as former Broncos Reuben Droughns and Ebeneezer Ekuban. The evening will be MC'd by former NFL player Reggie Rivers, with keynote speech given by Veteran Blake Watson, a graduate of the much publicized Adaptive Training Foundation, founded by former NFL player Dave Vobora. Attendees will also rub elbows with our most prized VIP's - the families we serve. Items available for silent and live auction include artwork by Glenn Goldberg, Willie Nelson signed guitar, and a trip to Baja, Mexico. Capping off the evening will be live entertainment from recording artist Reed Foehl.
