The Nobu Hotel Riyadh (www.NobuHotelRiyadh.com) will be the first Nobu Hotel in the Middle East to open, developed by Dhaliliyah Est and owned by Najmatic Co. The Nobu Hotel is being developed and designed by Dhaliliyah Est and the Rockwell Group and will offer its guests stylish interiors showcasing natural materials fused with Nobu's signature elegance.
Dhaliliyah Est, a Saudi Arabian investment and development group and Nobu Hospitality anticipate identifying wider global opportunities to build on the strengths of the two organizations and are exploring specific expanding opportunities with other destinations.
This announcement comes after the recent opening of the Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace in Las Vegas which garnered praise and accolades for its originality, distinctive design and attention to service and detail. Just weeks into its debut, CNN Travel named the Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace as one of the Hottest New Hotels of 2013, and Elite Traveller has awarded the Nobu Hotel its esteemed award of "Top Suites of the World".
In addition Nobu Hospitality has announced the appointment of senior executives to the Nobu Hotel Riyadh executive committee team. Robert Todak has been named General Manager of the Nobu Hotel Riyadh and Area Director for Nobu Hospitality, and Kym Barter has been named EAM Food and Beverage of the Nobu Hotel Riyadh and Vice President of Food and Beverage for Nobu Hospitality.
Todak has been a driving force in the hospitality industry for the past 25-years most recently as General Manager at the Acqualina Resort, achieving the coveted AAA Five Diamond award, previously having attained the winner of the Conde Nast Travelers coveted "Hotel List" for The Betsy Hotel South Beach. Todak was the opening General Manager of the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego, having previously served as the General Manager of the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago gaining for both the AAA Four Diamond status and the Conde Nast Hotel List award. Barter formerly served as the General Manager Premium Restaurant Operations of Crown Melbourne, overseeing 20 restaurants including various award-wining destinations including Nobu, Number 8, Silks, and Koko in addition to venues such as The Merrywell and Mr. Hive Kitchen & Bar (formerly Maze by Gordon Ramsay).
