New Nissan Altima Takes the Stage In New York!

Next Generation Nissan Altima Takes the Stage!

DAYTON, Ohio, Feb. 28, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Earlier in the month, Nissan confirmed that it planned to showcase the newest generation of its Nissan Altima sedan at the New York Auto Show in March. Officials have kept quiet on the details of the new mid-sized family vehicle, but there have been hints about what's to come.

During a weekly auto industry-focused internet show, Nissan's Christopher Reed hinted at what the sixth-generation of Altima will be receiving: all-wheel drive. Reed, the Vice President of Components engineering at Nissan Technical Center North America, hinted at the coming feature during a recording of Autoline After Hours, stating:

"We know that in the future... especially in the North, people like all-wheel-drive cars, right? And we're talking about coming out with all-wheel drive on the Altima and that kind of stuff, so we're doing some new things there."

Nissan spokespeople refuse to confirm any details, stating that the full details about the 2019 all-new Altima will be released at the New York International Auto Show, and not a moment sooner. This decision makes a lot of sense on the part of Nissan, as many buyers are moving towards the SUV and Crossover markets, instead of the Sedan market, due to the presence of this great feature.

More information on this new vehicle, and if the all-wheel drive will be either standard or an available feature, won't be available until next month, but buyers interested are encouraged to contact Matt Castrucci Nissan at 855-299-1946 for more information!
