"With more than 20,000 active duty, guard/reservists, veterans and military spouses registered, and over 50 of the best, military friendly employers committed to participating, we are looking forward to this not only being the biggest virtual career fair we have held to date, but more importantly, the most successful in getting them hired," said Kevin O'Brien, managing partner, Veteran Recruiting Services.

In addition to the virtual career fairs, VRS has also launched a military friendly employer index by industry, to make it easier for transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses to identify what employers are actively hiring in their industry of choice. VRS will also host industry specific virtual career fairs for each industry throughout the year, and have already completed the first which focused on Transportation & Logistics. The next industry specific fair will be for Retail in partnership with the National Retail Federation on April 25th. Employers can list their company at no charge by filling out a short form on www.vetfriendly.com

"America is blessed with the strongest, most capable and professional military in the world.  These men and women are masters of their professions, and the qualities they bring to the job – leadership, teamwork, commitment and trust – are qualities every American business can use today.  We must welcome these men and women home with open arms and empower them to use the skills they have to get jobs. I salute Veteran Recruiting Services for hosting this event and wish all veterans the best as you seek your next opportunity," said Congressman Jeff Denham

The virtual career fair will include organizations from the private, public and non-profit sectors such as; Aetna, Aflac, Amtrak, Asbury Automotive, Avis Budget, Best Buy, Chico's, Citi, Comerica, Con Edison, Convergys, Corning, DaVita, Department of Energy, DIRECTV, Department of Defense, Dow Corning, Equity Residential, Exelon, FAA, Honeywell, Graybar, InterContinental Hotels Group, J. Crew, Lowe's, Loyola Marymount University, ManTech, The Mission Continues, NYSE Euronext, NextEra Energy, Penske, PepsiCo, Pfizer, Philips, Progressive, Raytheon, Sears, Target, Time Warner Cable, Traveler's, Transportation Security Administration, Union Pacific Railroad, United Rentals, Unum, USAA, USDA, VetSuccess, Waste Management, Wells Fargo, and  Xerox Business Services

"Virtual career fairs help Xerox connect with active duty military and veterans all over the world," said Steven Scott, vice president, talent acquisition and recruiting, Xerox. "These virtual events offer interactive sessions where they can chat live with a recruiter. They learn more about Xerox jobs and opportunities available globally no matter where they are deployed, or located. Xerox knows the value of hiring veterans and this simplifies the way we connect with them. "

The virtual recruitment center that hosts the career fairs is open 24/7/365 and allows the veteran or military spouse to; complete a profile, upload their resume, visit employer booths, view/apply for jobs, and also includes a military skills translator that allows them to search for all jobs by location, job title, keyword, and more importantly, their Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) at www.veteranrecruiting.jobs

"The virtual career fairs are extremely valuable to all in search of employment, but for the soldier who is still serving, or the veteran with a disability, it is even more valuable because, it allows them to meet and interact in real time with the employer's from anywhere in the  world with a computer and internet connection" added O'Brien

The VRS virtual career fairs have resulted in more than 18,000 veterans and military spouses being hired since late 2011, and a goal of 13,000 hires in 2013 has been set by VRS and their employer partners.
