LAS VEGAS, Aug. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Michael Cavanaugh's concerts include an eclectic mix of songs that the audience knows and sings along to every word. His performances, whether solo at the piano or with his amazing band, recently earned him the title of "Corporate Entertainer of the Year" according to Reuters. Billboard Magazine called Cavanaugh the "New voice of the American Rock and Roll Songbook," and he is known for putting his own creative spin on rock classics. Whether solo at the piano, with his amazing band or with a full orchestra, Michael Cavanaugh is known for providing audiences with a high energy show full of songs you know by heart.
While playing in Las Vegas at the famed "New York, New York Hotel and Casino," Cavanaugh was spotted by Billy Joel, and joined him on stage one fateful night of February 2001. It only took 2 songs before Joel was convinced that he had found his new Piano Man. Cavanaugh moved to New York City to work alongside Joel and Twyla Tharp, to shape the Broadway Musical that he would later star in, which would be called Movin' Out.
With the close of Movin' Out at the end of 2005, Cavanaugh began touring in his own right, creating a show that reinterprets the modern pop/rock songbook. He soon became one of the hottest artist's in the corporate/events market. He continues to perform worldwide for company and charity events, with symphony orchestras, and at sporting events including PGA tour events, the US Open, the Indy 500.
A charismatic performer and musician, Cavanaugh's shows deliver an unforgettable experience for audiences. For more information on Cavanaugh or for upcoming tour dates, visit www.michaelcavanaugh.com.
