LAHAINA, MAUI, Hawaii, Dec. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Maui Luxury Living has transformed its popular blog into a promotional powerhouse that showcases the most prominent businesses in Maui. The feature rich promotional platform was created to connect Maui's most prestigious brands directly with travelers and local consumers who want to experience the best of what Maui has to offer.
"Maui has some of the finest resorts, restaurants, products, activities and services in the world. Coupled with the island's natural beauty ensures that Maui is always one of the top vacation destinations year after year," says CEO and President Jeff Swanson, who has been living on the island since 1997. "Our blog was great for showcasing Maui's top luxury brands but now we have a platform that allows us to connect local businesses directly with visitors and local consumers who are interested in eating at a 5 star restaurant or taking a private helicopter ride to the golf course."
In the past visitors would have to scour the island for brochures or call a concierge to find out Maui's ultimate activities, finest restaurants and upscale shopping areas. It is all now available in an online directory that can be accessed easily on a computer, smart phone or tablet," says Swanson.
Maui Luxury Living has already garnered the interest of several big players on the island including Expedia Inc, Heli Golf Hawaii, Kapalua Spa, Chef James McDonald and several Luxury Real Estate Agents who want their luxury properties front and center with those who are engaged in other luxury brands on the island. "We are very excited about our partnership with Maui Luxury Living," says celebrity Chef James McDonald "It's important for us to leverage new marketing channels that allow us to easily reach our target audience. Because MLL is showcasing a variety of Maui businesses, we can potentially reach new customers with ease, says James."
To ensure the integrity of its members, Maui Luxury Living has instituted qualifications that must be met in order maintain its status as a member. Fine artists must have work represented in a licensed gallery in the state of Hawaii while Real Estate Brokers must have active or sold listings of $2.5 million or higher to qualify. All members will have their products and services sampled or inspected annually by MLL for quality assurance. "We don't have annual sales quotas or anything like that," says Swanson. "If you currently associate your product, service or activity with luxury, elegance, premium, 1st class, one of a kind, 5 star or gourmet, then we want you to be a part of Maui Luxury Living." "The consumers who engage our Luxury Brands have high standards and are paying a premium for impeccable reputations, extravagant products and VIP services so we want to make sure we have a system in place to qualify and assess each member to meet these standards."
In exchange for a monthly fee, each member of the Maui Luxury Living registry receives an Exclusive Business Profile which includes a downloadable coupon or promotion, company bio, a company commercial (or images), directions to the business, social links, ratings, comments and a MLL Digital Display Badge that can be displayed anywhere online.
Short term goals are to build its core group of founding members while aggressively targeting current and future visitors to the island. "We already rank #1 in Google for Maui Luxury which bodes well for any business that becomes a member. Our objective is to help local businesses expand their marketing reach with our internet & mobile presence, acquire new customers and increase their sales revenue," says Swanson.
