KENOSHA, Wis., July 30, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- We all remember being able to go to a local playground growing up. Playing in a sandbox with our siblings, a game of tetherball with a friend or being pushed on the swing by mom or dad. These were times that made up a very special part of our childhood youth and bring back great memories. Unfortunately, this is not an experience a lot of kids with a handicap disability in the Kenosha, WI area can enjoy, until now. The Kenosha Dream Playground Project has set out with a simple objective, provide a place that ALL kids can come and enjoy, disabled or not. Founded in July of 2012, The Kenosha Dream Playground Project is comprised of group of citizens, who are working hard to provide an inclusive, safe, and accessible playground for all children.
The organization is working hard to try and make this dream a reality for children in the area, but handicap equipment is expensive, and the planning and building process of the playground is extensive. This is where one local car dealership in particular has stepped up, the Palmen Automotive Group. Palmen Automotive has donated a van designated to help Make the Kenosha Dream Playground Project a reality. This will help this dream come true in so many ways, and take this project one step closer to its goal. The van also works as a mobile billboard for the cause, wrapped in colorful graphics; it will be able to spread the message about handicap playground awareness everywhere it goes.
Though the Kenosha Dream Playground Project has made tremendous progress, help is always needed.
