Reviewers Robert Wiley and Jack Burden cover the complete list of Sony LCD/LED TV new releases for the 2013 year

ATLANTA, March 28, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Sony's 2013/2014 lineup of LCD/LED TVs covers a wide range of options for TV shoppers. Jack Burden and Robert Wiley have taken a look all the different models and offer up initial review, specifications, and comparisons to help sort through it all. Once again, Sony has not offered any plasma TVs this year, but they do have a few 4K UHD TVs to add to the mix. LCDTVBuyingGuide.com has dedicated an entire page to the Sony LED TV 2013 lineup to find all the information in one place.

The top tier TV for the 2013 lineup is the Sony KDL-55W900A LED TV. It's not a 4K UHD TV, but it is the best of the best when it comes to Sony's 1080p TVs. "The KDL-55W900A from Sony replaces last years KDL-HX850 series and has very similar features such as the Motionflow XR 960 (Sony's fastest), built in Wifi, the X-reality Pro engine, and active shutter 3D. Sony has upgraded the cross-connectivity of the TV for 2013/2014. They've also enhanced the sound quality via new speakers," Jack Burden said in his review.

Move one step down in the lineup and the KDL-55W802A is found. This second tier model is loaded with features like passive 3D playback, a 120Hz refresh rate, and good side viewing angles. Jack also mentioned the picture processing engine. "This second tier model has a great processing engine called the X-reality Pro which is a step up from the X-Reality engine from last years KDL-55HX750. Sony's color performance on this TV is very accurate and realistic with good saturation levels."

The Sony KDL-32W650A holds and interesting place in the LED TV lineup. It's a smaller size TV loaded with features seen in many of the top tier models. There aren't many like it. Burden said, "Sony decided to 'go for it' with the KDL-32W650A. This little 32 inch dandy is loaded for this size TV. First, those bright LED lights are unusual, then 1080p is unusual for 32 inch, then you also get Wifi, Smart TV features, and the X-Reality Pro engine for a crisp, clean picture image."

Lastly Sony offers up another interesting LED TV. "In a size once dominated by plasma TVs, I never thought I would see Sony compete with an LED edge lit LCD. But that is the case with the KDL-50R550A," the reviewer said. This is the 3rd tier option in the lineup, so it is also feature heavy. In terms of picture quality, "the depth of the overall picture cannot compete with a good plasma, the black level depth on the KDL-50R550A looks jet black on the top and bottom bars in a 16:9 format mode. However black levels can be a little more washed out on the images of the screen itself."
