Kia Sorento first 2015 model to arrive at Bill Jacobs Kia

Kia's crossover arrives at Joliet dealership before highly anticipated luxury sedan

JOLIET, Ill., Feb. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Bill Jacobs Kia in Joliet, Ill. and Kia dealers throughout the U.S. continue buzzing in anticipation for the arrival of the 2015 Kia K900 luxury sedan. As the first V-8 rear-wheel drive vehicle in Kia's history, the groundbreaking four-door luxury car is expected to challenge the most reputable brands in the luxury realm.

With all that attention surrounding the release of the Kia K900, the 2015 Kia Sorento crossover slid under the radar and arrived at Bill Jacobs Kia. As Kia reshapes its brand image, the Sorento was one of the leaders in redefining the brand's quality when it was redesigned for the 2013 model year. Although much of the Kia Sorento remains intact from the previous year, there are a few new interior and performance features that are sure to capture the attention of car shoppers in this segment.

Two engines are available in the 2015 Sorento, led by an enhanced 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine making 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. For more power, drivers can choose to equip the crossover with a 3.3-liter V-6 that generates up to 290 horsepower. Both engines get paired to a smooth-shifting six-speed automatic transmission.

In addition to the tweaked four-cylinder engine, the 2015 Sorento gets updated with the latest version of UVO telematics to help enhance the in-car experience.

While the Sorento is the first 2015 model to touch its wheels down at Bill Jacobs Kia, the 2015 Kia K900 isn't expected to be far behind, as the luxury sedan should arrive this spring.
