"I am honored to join the WellSpring organization. It is an exciting time to come aboard with our recent acquisition of FDS® and Bactine®. We believe there is a great deal of upside opportunity in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico on these brands, along with the existing properties in our stable including Bonine®, Emetrol®, Micatin®, Gelusil®, Glaxal Base® and Barriere®" said John. "It is a dynamic team that is well supported by its investors, Sentinel Capital Partners and Ancor Capital Partners."

"It is great to have John join our team" added Wendy Shusko, CEO of WellSpring Pharmaceutical Corporation. "His experience in leading organizations and brand building in the consumer package goods and retail arena will be a big asset to us. Last year, we added additional resources to support our growth, such as Susan Levy of Susan B. Levy Consulting who assisted us in finding the right brands to add to our growing portfolio. We also made the strategic decision to create two distinct divisions within WellSpring. The pharmaceutical contract manufacturing division, WellSpring Pharma Services, is led by President David Mayers and is based in Oakville, Ontario in Canada, while the Consumer Healthcare Division will be led by John. We believe this approach will allow WellSpring to best focus on servicing their respective markets.

"John is a veteran of the CPG and retail world. He began his career at Nestle with the Stouffer Foods division in sales and quickly moved into management. He served as VP-Trade Marketing before his promotion to VP-Marketing with the Nestle Ice Cream division. He then moved into the private equity world with Brynwood Partners, as Sr. VP-Sales & Marketing with the J.B. Williams Company, owner of multiple personal care and OTC brands. Over the years that followed, John also served as CEO of Utrecht Art Supplies, CEO of Stella D'Oro and CEO of S. Walter Packaging, all businesses in the Brynwood investment portfolio. In addition, he was President of ECRM. John holds a B.A. Economics from Bucknell University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
