CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y., July 19, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- JMR Graphics, a nationwide car wraps manufacturer, responds to an article published by AdWeek on the out-of-home advertisement that could provide living situations for the homeless.
A July 1st article from AdWeek titled "Next Up in Useful Outdoor Ads: Billboards That House the Homeless?" discusses the architectural design that Slovakia has created to not only advertise a brand, but also provide a living situation for the homeless. The billboard turned apartment will have "two surfaces that face oncoming drivers in both directions -- creating a triangular space in between." Designing the advertisement and home would "help offset the cost of construction, and the house would already be wired for electricity because of the lights that illuminate the boards at night." The home would consist of an entrance hall, kitchen, raised bed with storage underneath it and a bathroom.
TJ Panell, a representative from nationwide car wraps manufacturer JMR Graphics, says, "This billboard and housing idea has the potential of being very good. However, it could also cause a lot of problems if it is not implemented correctly."
