Jackson Healthcare Announces Appointment of Shane Jackson as New President

Richard L. Jackson Will Remain Chairman and CEO

ATLANTA, Nov. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Jackson Healthcare, the nation's third largest healthcare staffing company, today announced the appointment of Shane Jackson as its next President.

Jackson, 37, will immediately assume day-to-day operations as President of Jackson Healthcare. His father, Richard L. Jackson, will continue in his role as chairman and CEO. He will retain strategic oversight of the company and devote a majority of his time to applying business principles to non-profit and charitable initiatives.

"We've entered a new phase at Jackson Healthcare," said Richard L. Jackson. "We have achieved success. Now we want to move toward being an organization of significance built on giving back."

Shane Jackson is currently the President of Jackson Healthcare's largest subsidiary, LocumTenens.com, a free online physician recruiting board and full service recruiting agency. During his tenure, revenue has nearly doubled, far outpacing industry growth rates. He will remain President of LocumTenens.com while assuming duties as President at Jackson Healthcare.

"Shane is highly professional, smart and a proven leader," said William H. Franklin, vice chairman of Jackson Healthcare. "This is a logical step as he has done yeoman's work at LocumTenens.com."

From 2000 to 2008, Shane Jackson oversaw numerous acquisitions, startups and investments for Jackson Healthcare and served as president of several of its startup entities. In 2008, he became the President of the largest division, LocumTenens.com.

In 2006, the Atlanta Business Chronicle named Shane Jackson as one of Atlanta's "Top 40 Under 40." He earned his MBA from Emory University.

"I look forward to supporting our leaders and associates in their service to our customers," Shane Jackson said. "We have immense opportunities ahead in this very dynamic healthcare environment to make a difference."
