TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Today, Integrity Life Sciences announced it has resolved the inventory backlog of critical components that impacted recent delivery schedules. Integrity's stringent quality demand requires critical components to be tested and validated prior to being accepted into inventory. With extended lead times being the initial culprit, the numerous winter storms in late 2013 and early 2014 created additional delays in receiving these components for Integrity's ISCS products. The backlog has affected both international and domestic customers for different reasons based on the regulatory requirements dictated by the country of installation. In response, Integrity has granted extended warranty concessions to customers awaiting delivery of their orders. Integrity has also put measures and processes in place to ensure that this problem does not occur in the future.
James Gibson, President and CEO, commented, "We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience they have experienced because in 2013 we were required to reject several component deliveries. Integrity has the highest level of quality and safety policies and procedures in the medical device industry and despite the inconvenience to our customers, this proves our systems and processes work in detecting faulty components before they reach the customer." Mr. Gibson went on to say, "This, combined with Integrity's outstanding sales performance in 2013, created delays and the backlog of new system installations we are currently experiencing. In addition, the onslaught of winter storms compounded the problem. We have since taken a fresh and proactive approach to our inventory replenishment redundancies with our vendors to insure this does not occur again." Mr. Gibson also announced that Integrity has offered all of our customers, regardless if they have been affected by this backlog or not, the opportunity to take advantage of our offer of an additional year of warranty for all orders placed in February and March." Some foreign market customers will receive additional concessions.
Integrity Life Sciences delivers a multitude of orthotic treatment options to address one of the most costly systemic ailments in the world, chronic low back and neck pain. The advanced solution begins with the Integrity Spinal Care System. Integrity's medical devices are non-surgical spinal decompression therapy systems engineered to provide pain relief for compressive and degenerative conditions of the spine. Specifically, conditions that may be treated include: neck pain and back pain associated with herniated discs, protruding discs, degenerative disc disease, posterior facet syndrome, and sciatica. It achieves these effects through decompression of intervertebral discs, that is, unloading due to distraction and positioning.
Additionally, Integrity offers the very effective Integrity Gel Support Brace. The Integrity Gel Support Brace is a lumbar support brace that is a fitting compliment to non-surgical spinal decompression. The Integrity Gel Support Brace was designed as an adjunct therapy for those suffering from back pain and with the back pain sufferer's needs in mind. The Integrity Gel Support Brace can be used with or without Integrity's non-surgical spinal decompression medical devices, and is an excellent treatment option for personal home use.
