SAN ANTONIO, May 3, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Ingram Park Nissan, a Nissan dealership in San Antonio, is pleased with the steady rate of sales that we experienced in April, but we were surprised to see a large shift in the vehicles we sold throughout April. Across the United States, Nissan North America(NNA) sold a total of 71,329 vehicles to round out April.
One car that was really well received in April was the 2012 Nissan Versa in San Antonio, at Ingram Park Nissan. By looking at the sales figures, Ingram Park Nissan wasn't the only Nissan dealer across the U.S. that was selling out of the Nissan Versa. NNA stated that the Nissan Versa posted a new record for April with over 8,000 vehicle deliveries, which shows an increase of 30 percent over 2011.
Nissan North America also shed light on the large April sales numbers for Nissan's lineup of trucks stating that the Nissan Frontier, Pathfinder, Titan and Quest all reported gains of larger than 20 percent for the month of April. This is a very positive sign for Nissan as they gear up to release several updated vehicle models in the upcoming months.
Al Castignetti, Nissan's Vice President and General Manager, talked about how certain Nissan models picked other ones up in April, stating that, "Coming off of a blockbuster March, April showed signs of strength with record months for Versa and Rogue, and solid gains for our trucks. With an all-new Altima coming this summer leading five all-new, volume-selling models in a span of just 15 months, we expect Nissan's sales momentum to grow."
