LEESBURG, Va., April 22, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- FCi Federal announced today that the company has been awarded a prime contract with the Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs to provide Visa Support Services (VSS). The work will be performed at two Consular Support Centers: the National Visa Center in Portsmouth, NH and the Kentucky Consular Center in Williamsburg, KY. Approximately 830 contract staff are employed at the two centers. The contract has a five-year performance period (including options) with a ceiling of more than $145 million if all options are exercised.

Under this contract, FCi Federal will provide application processing and customer service support to petitioners and beneficiaries applying for visas and to the Consular Officers overseas who adjudicate them. FCi Federal will also support the Department of State's transformation efforts that will increase the use of online applications and establish a paperless processing environment.
