"As of 2011, the revenues are heavily concentrated in four of the countries analyzed in this report," reports Sam S. Adkins, Chief Research Officer. "By 2016, revenues will be spread out among several other countries as eLearning gains traction across the region."
There are two sections in this report: a demand-side analysis and a supply-side analysis. Additionally there is an index of over 115 suppliers competing in the region. The demand-side analysis provides suppliers with insight into the buying behaviors in the top buying countries in Latin America. The buying behavior is different in each country.
The supply-side section provides revenue forecasts for five types of Self-paced eLearning products and services including: packaged content, custom content development services, cloud-based authoring tools and learning platform services, installed authoring tools, and installed learning platforms.
"The growth rate for cloud-based authoring tools and learning platforms in Latin America is 22.0%, the highest growth rate of all eLearning products in this region," comments CEO Tyson Greer. "There is a surge in demand for cloud-based authoring tools and platforms in Latin America and it is likely that Ambient Insight will have to revise forecasts upward in subsequent forecasts."
In general, as of 2011, Latin America is largely a "consuming" region, importing the majority of content and technology from outside the region. This will change over the forecast period as domestic suppliers continue to gain market share.Media Contact:
