MAZATLAN, Mexico, Nov. 30, 2016 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The Culinary Roots festival, known as the Raices Culinarias in Spanish, is a major festival that showcases the gastronomic diversity of Mexico's top chefs and restaurants. It takes place in Mazatlán each year, according to El Cid Resorts. The entire spectrum of culinary excellence from localities that surround Mazatlán were on display in a festive event that regularly draws thousands of attendees.
El Cid Resorts notes that visitors to Mexico can learn a lot about Mexican cuisine by attending and are welcomed by the organizers. El Cid Resorts offered a gastronomic show at La Concha restaurant terrace for our national and international press along with our guests and visitors.
The celebration brought numerous economic benefits to the city by way of hotel occupancy, restaurant business, taxi income, and overall tourism. El Cid Resorts notes that Mazatlán is now a key tourist destination in Mexico and just keeps getting better and better for visitors each year.
In fact, for the very first year of the Culinary Roots celebration, there were more than 2,500 professional participants who took part in one or all of the many diverse events that make up the festivities. Those participants include some of the most influential restaurant entrepreneurs and chefs from all over the country, according to El Cid Resorts.
Besides the chefs and entrepreneurs, hundreds of culinary school students attend the event in order to learn what it takes to break into the top levels of the food industry. There were dozens of different activities that made up the event, according to El Cid Resorts. Not only did the chefs and restaurateurs enjoy showing off a wide array of seafood and farm produce, there were all sorts of conferences, awards presentations, beer-tasting festivals and other unique parts of the program.
El Cid Resorts notes that all the food cooked and served during the Culinary Roots celebration is produced or grown in Mazatlán. There were at least 12 top international chefs taking part in this year's festival, which is the brainchild of Marino Maganda, one of Mexico's most respected chefs and culinary instructors.
El Cid Resorts wants future attendees of Culinary Roots to know that one of the central parts of the celebration is a large expo area where visitors can peruse thousands of products and providers. For those who love food and fun, there is no better time to visit Mazatlán than during the Culinary Roots festival.
