Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex PSAP - The North Texas Emergency Communications Center, Inc. (NTECC) selects CODY Systems to provide instant, one-stop search access for its dispatchers to disparate RMS and Warrant data sources via COBRA.net

Instant access to public safety data from the 4 cities of the NTECC consolidated dispatch center -- with ONE search -- will allow for quick consortium-wide results on people, vehicles, location, warrants, etc., to enhance situational awareness and support responding officers.

POTTSTOWN, Pa., Oct. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- CODY Systems announces that its COBRA.net real-time data aggregation and sharing platform will be deployed by NTECC to provide a true, integrated one-stop search across the NTECC member agencies' different RMS and Warrant data sources for NTECC's dispatchers via COBRA.net's web-based one-stop search app, C.tac. The solution will leverage the unique capability of COBRA.net's C.tac search app to provide a singular, unified search of synchronized RMS and Warrant data from across the four NTECC municipalities (Farmers Branch, Coppell, Carrollton and Addison) that are part of the new consolidated emergency dispatching center, with the goal to enhance the delivery and effectiveness of public safety services, improve situational awareness of public safety personnel and dispatchers, without requiring any of the member agencies to replace their current RMS systems.

The consolidation of four distinct agencies into one dispatch center posed challenges for the consortium due to the presence of many disparate systems across the member agencies, including police RMS and Warrants databases maintained by each agency.  Instead of forcing all the agencies to switch to a common RMS and/or Warrants system prior to the new center's Go-live date, COBRA.net technology is designed to allow current RMS and Warrants systems to remain in place.  Leveraging COBRA.net's one-stop search technology in the C.tac search app, all data sources connected to a COBRA.net (e.g. RMS, Warrants) can be searched simultaneously (or individually as the situation demands), without requiring agencies to switch or merge their respective systems.

Through its foundation-first approach to information sharing, COBRA.net provides a stable, future-proofed exchange platform that will allow for the instant sharing of information from across the four municipalities as part of the initial roll-out of this project. COBRA.net will also allow for the rapid integration of data sources from additional agencies in the region that join the center in the future.

"The deployment of COBRA.net and C.tac in the consolidated dispatch environment marks a period of exciting evolution for COBRA.net in the marketplace," said Frances Heffner, President of CODY Systems. "As new market segments continue to adopt COBRA.net's benefits to accelerate their data-driven missions, we are excited to highlight the adaptability and flexibility of the platform to meet the critical needs of the emergency communications market."
