Cincinnati Ford Dealer Excited to Try Out the Driver Assist Technologies in the 2013 Ford Fusion

Mike Castrucci Ford of Milford is anticipating the arrival of the 2013 Ford Fusion in Cincinnati to test out the large suite of driver assist technologies.

CINCINNATI, May 15, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ --  Never has there been a midsize family sedan with more driver assist technologies included than in the 2013 Ford Fusion. With radar, ultrasonic, optical and motion sensors, the Fusion brings convenience, technology and safety to an entirely new level. These new features are usually only found in expensive, high-end luxury sedans, but they will be included in the affordable 2013 Ford Fusion.

Some of the new driver assist features that will be found in the new Fusion are the Lane Keeping System, Driver Alert System, Pull-Drift Compensation, Adaptive Cruise Control with Collision Warning, Active Park Assist and a Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert. All of these technologies aid in keeping drivers on the road riding safely and preventing needless accidents. The Cincinnati Ford dealer, Mike Castrucci Ford of Milford, is anxiously anticipating seeing the new 2013 Fusion with these features.

The Lane Keeping System uses a camera that scans the road for lane markings to evaluate if the car drifts out of its lane. If it detects drifting, the steering wheel vibrates and alerts the driver, if the driver doesn't respond the system slowly steers the car back toward the lane's center.

The Pull Drift Compensation helps drivers counter steeply crowned roads or steady crosswinds. It uses gradual steering to help make corrections to keep the car moving straight. The Driver Alert System uses the same forward facing camera in the lane system to detect if the vehicle is in a motion of a drowsy driver. A coffee icon shows up in the display telling the driver to stop if this happens.

Active Park Assist is one of Ford's most popular features and uses electronic power assisted steering to help drivers parallel park. The sensors measure a gap between cars and the car is automatically steered into the spot. Drivers just need to lightly use the gas and the brake.

Mike Castrucci Ford of Milford is excited about the strides Ford has made in their technology and vehicles. The 2012 Ford Fusion in Cincinnati, OH is available right now at the dealership and they also have many used cars.
