NEWBERG, Ore., March 13, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Registration is open for Bruin Preview, a two-day college visitation program that allows prospective undergraduate students to check out Christian college life at George Fox University.
This spring's preview event is scheduled Thursday and Friday, April 4-5, on the university's Newberg, Ore., campus.
The event is for prospective first-year students and college transfers who are interested in seeing firsthand what it's like to live on a Christian college campus. Students will have the opportunity to attend classes, tour the facilities and dorms, attend concerts, participate in department showcases, learn about financial aid, and meet with current students, faculty, admissions counselors and coaches.
The event begins with check-in on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. and continues through Friday afternoon, with the closing session scheduled from 2:40 to 3:15 p.m.
Parents are welcome to attend Bruin Preview and participate in events with their students. They will also learn about life at George Fox through touring the campus and meeting with administrators and admissions counselors. Space is limited and the event is expected to reach capacity, so those interested are encouraged to register as soon as possible. The cost is $25 per student, which includes admission to events Thursday evening, a full day of activities on Friday, meals for parents/guests on Friday, all meals, lodging and a commemorative T-shirt for students. The cost per parent or guest is $10.
