SALEM, Ore., March 11, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Capitol Auto Group (CAG) delivered an unprecedented $100,000 donation check to the United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley. The company completed its 28-Days of Love Campaign Feb. 28. Company President Scott Casebeer and Director of Marketing, Carrie Casebeer, serve as this year's Campaign Co-Chairs.
United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley Executive Director, Randy Franke said, "The Casebeers and their employees at Capitol Auto have always made significant contributions to United Way through their time and funds. Last year they raised $65,000 and this year they far surpassed this. Many people will benefit from Capitol's generosity and the leadership displayed by Scott and Carrie. Capitol Auto Group includes Toyota/Scion, Cadillac/Chevrolet, and Subaru dealerships as well as Capitol Collision Center and Capitol West Valley which provides service and sells pre-owned automobiles in Dallas, Ore. The company President, Scott Casebeer, has a long history of community engagement. He was named Salem First Citizen last year and has served on numerous nonprofit boards. Carrie serves on the Willamette Valley Hospital Board and is active in many charitable organizations. Seventy-eight percent of CAG's 250 employees donated to the campaign. Nearly 10 percent donated more than $1000 and 20 percent donated more than $600. The average employee gift was $425. The company gave an additional $500 for each person donating $1000 or more and employee-driven fundraising activities raised more than $7500.
