Bill Jacobs Auto Group Celebrates Women Employees and Customers

The Bill Jacobs Auto Group has a history of treating everybody with respect, but this year the Auto Group is celebrating the women employees and customers that have made the business what it is today.

JOLIET, Ill., Jan. 31, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Women make up an integral part of the Bill Jacobs Auto Group team and this year the group is looking to honor them as part of the 2013 Community Engagement Initiative. Among other things such as donations and charitable activities to Joliet area organizations, the Women of Bill Jacobs are set to be headlined at the dealership. The Bill Jacobs Auto Group has always treated all of our employees and customers with respect, but we especially have a great history with women. While much of the automotive industry has an (often deserved) bad reputation with women's opinions, the Bill Jacobs Auto Group values them. Bill Jacobs continues to step outside of the box and as they enter the new year they want to promote the women of Bill Jacobs.

Women are responsible for purchasing 65% of all new cars and the Auto Group knows that they are a very important part of the business. Back in 1967, the Bill Jacobs Auto Group was featured in the Joliet Herald News in an article about a woman who had comments about the dealership. Mrs. James Hickey said that, "In the first place, they actually listened to my descriptions of the problems, as though I were speaking adult English, not infantile babbling." The dealerships continue to honor and respect women's customers to this day and the Auto Group is run by several successful women.

Linda Jacobs is the owner and spouse of the late Bill Jacobs Jr. and Jeanne Jacobs is the co-founder and spouse of the late Bill Jacobs Sr. Both of these women still play an integral part in the dealerships. Cynthia Thrall is the President of the Auto Group and the chief financial officer is Deb Gammon. The long-time office manager is another woman, Debbie Svrlinga, and she is doing a fantastic job. Some other notable women at the Auto Group are: Mindy McCorkle, 28 years of service; Jean Mathis, business office for 38 years; Jen Senders, BDC Salesperson of the Year 2012; Monica Highfill, the number one salesperson for Bill Jacobs Kia/Subaru.

The Auto Group is proud of the women who work there and they want to make special note of that this year. If you are interested in owning a car from a family of dealerships who does things the right way and for the right reasons, then shop at Bill Jacobs.

They carry the 2013 Cadillac Escalade near Naperville, IL and they will soon have the new Corvette Stingray in Chicago. Don't miss out on fantastic vehicles and great people at Bill Jacobs.
