AXIO Data Group announces first year financial results

Management are confident in strategy to realise long-term value after transformational year

LONDON, July 22, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- AXIO Data Group today announced its first set of financial results for the period to 31 December 2013, following the acquisition of its market-leading information businesses in April 2013.

  • 2013 saw the establishment of AXIO as a portfolio of leading data and information businesses
  • Underlying pro forma revenues for FY13 of £163m decreased by 5% from FY12. Pro forma EBITDA of £26.5m increased by 8% over prior year.
  • AXIO generated £21m of cash from operations
  • During 2013 AXIO sold its shareholding in UCF Holdings Sarl for £7.5m and reached agreement for the sale of Medical Observer and My Doctor, which were both part of MIMS Australia.
  • The company reduced its debt in the period by £18.5m to £131m and held cash of £21m at the end of 2013.
  • Management are confident in the strategy to build and realise value from AXIO's portfolio of businesses.

The reported results for the period show revenue of £122m, a Group operating loss of £15.6m and a net loss of £30.1m. The strengthening of sterling during 2013 reduced AXIO's consolidated revenue and profits. The results include one-off costs related to the establishment of AXIO, restructuring charges and an impairment charge against intangible assets.
