AEMP Annual Conference Keynote - Alison Black, chief economist, The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA)

Public infrastructure spending on highways, roads and bridges drives a big part of the construction industry in the U.S. But gridlock in our nation's capital has eliminated the once routine five year transportation bill with a series of short term continuing resolutions. The funding shortfalls and inability to plan projects more than one or two years out has thrown the industry into a new era of uncertainty.
