Arlington Capital Advisors Facilitates Investment In Taco Mac

Boutique investment bank focused on the middle-market announces restaurant industry transaction

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., July 31, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Arlington Capital Advisors, LLC, a boutique investment bank that specializes in advising closely-held middle market businesses, announced today that its principals facilitated a growth capital investment in Tappan Street Restaurant Group, Inc. dba Taco Mac ("Taco Mac" or the "Company") by Dallas-based CIC Partners.  Arlington Capital Advisors' principals, acting as registered securities agents of Burch & Company, Inc., were the exclusive financial advisor to Taco Mac and its shareholders on the transaction.

An Atlanta institution since 1979, Taco Mac is known for its extensive beer selection and expertise, as well as its high-quality casual dining fare including buffalo wings, burgers, southwest cuisine, salads and sandwiches.  With 28 units in operation across Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee, Taco Mac is known for being one of the Southeast's most beloved places to drink beer, watch a game, and enjoy original Buffalo-style chicken wings.  With its investment from CIC Partners, Taco Mac plans to execute a calculated growth strategy outside of its existing markets.

"The Arlington team far exceeded our expectations as they guided us through the process," said Bob Campbell, CEO of Taco Mac.  "Each member of the team was always available and took a personal interest in the success of the transaction."

"Taco Mac is truly a leader in the category with strong unit-level economics and broad consumer appeal. We look forwarding to supporting the company's growth initiatives," said Fouad Bashour, Partner with CIC Partners.  "Additionally, we are very grateful to the team at Arlington for introducing us to our new partners at Taco Mac and for their thoughtful approach to finding the right capital partner to help grow the business."

"From the onset of our work with Taco Mac, our focus was to pair the Company with a great financial partner with a proven investment track record in the restaurant industry," said Vann Russell, Managing Director of Arlington Capital Advisors.  "We feel very confident that we found such a partner in CIC, which shares common values with Taco Mac and its management team.  We are excited to watch this new partnership flourish."

About Taco Mac

Taco Mac began in Atlanta in 1979 when a couple of guys from Buffalo made a pit stop in Atlanta on their way to Florida. After touring the city and enjoying the weather they decided to stay and bring a popular northern cuisine - Buffalo wings - to the sunny South. Thirty plus years later, Taco Mac now has 28 stores across metro Atlanta, Charlotte and Chattanooga, and continues to grow. Today Taco Mac restaurants have a large number of high-definition, flat-screen televisions on display for guests to enjoy local and national sporting competitions.
