Animal Necessity Launches Fundraiser to Support Marine Animals and Caretakers Affected by Hurricane Irma

Animal Necessity, LLC is reaching out to clients, partners, and friends to raise funds to help animals and their dedicated caretakers who have been impacted by hurricane Irma.

NEW YORK, Sept. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Animal Necessity, LLC is reaching out to clients, partners, and friends to raise funds to help animals and their dedicated caretakers who have been impacted by hurricane Irma.

When Irma unleashed her wrath, the Florida Keys' human population was largely displaced, including two of the Animal Necessity co-founders, Chief Veterinarian Johanna Fava and President Joseph Fava. Most of Key Largo's marine mammal research, education, and public swim facilities had extensive damage. Animal Necessity partner facilities including the not-for-profit Dolphins Plus Marine Mammal Responder (DPMMR), Dolphins Plus Bayside, Island Dolphin Care, Dolphin Research Center, and Theater of the Sea all suffered damage and power loss.

The resident dolphin population of the Keys escaped harm while safely remaining in their habitats thanks to a dedicated crew of caretakers, who risked their lives to stay with these dolphins to ensure their safety through the storm. All humans and dolphins survived Irma without injury, but now they face more challenges.

In response, Animal Necessity, LLC will be donating care packages of Imuno-2865 (immune stimulating beta-glucan supplement) and Serenin Vet (a supplement that can help boost serotonin levels, relieving environmental stress) to the facilities in need.

The company has also launched a fundraiser on GoFundMe, where anyone can make a gift which will be provided directly to the caretakers to help them manage their own needs during this critical time.
