Adoba Dearborn Hotel Unveils a Striking Green Hue On the Michgain Skyline

Dearborn's skyline will now feature a new green hue, thanks to a sustainable sign that's breaking ground in the world of outdoor illumination.

DENVER, July 3, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The Adoba ® Dearborn/Detroit location across the street from the Ford World Headquarters, is taking every sustainable element into consideration, Lauretano Sign Group has created a landmark exterior sign package with several green features. For instance, the sign is illuminated by GE LED systems that contain no mercury, lead, or glass. Energy savings will amount to 90% compared with neon and fluorescent lighting. In addition, LED lights last up to 50,000 hours, or 17 years when lit for eight hours each day.

Fabrication of the sign was done with aluminum sheets that contain 85% recycled content. One component is Cyro acrylic sheets, a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Matthews MAP-LV coatings contain VOC levels that are at or below the requirements of the USGBC's Green Seal.

Mike Laurentano, Senior Chairman of Laurentano Sign Group says "We are extremely excited to be part of the expansion of this energy-efficient, sustainable hotel concept.  Lauretano works with corporate and hotel clients all across North America but none have been more committed and true to the advancement of the eco-friendly products and practices than Adoba®. They don't just talk the talk...Adoba® is the true pioneer of eco-friendly hotels."

By utilizing the highest-quality supplies from local vendors as well as round trip full-load transportation, Adoba® Hotel Dearborn/Detroit has been able to reduce their carbon footprint and conserve valuable resources. Complete sign packaging was custom-designed to use fewer materials and trees, while maintaining secure transport.

James Henderson, CEO/President of Adoba® Brand said "Our marketing VP has been working on the new sign package for about six months. We have been imagining the vision of the sign, but when you finally see it turned on, it's very dramatic.  It is generating a lot of oohs and aahs in the community. Not just for its eye-catching color or for all the sustainable aspects of the sign but for the steps forward it represents in enhancing and preserving such an iconic hotel in the state of Michigan. The Lauranteno Sign Group really expressed our vision with the design and all the elements of sustainability we envisioned the sign project to stand for."

It is these measures that make Lauretano Sign Group a national leader in eco-friendly signage. Adoba® Hotels takes great pride in the careful selection of respected vendors.  They are thrilled to unveil the product of their second collaboration with Lauretano Sign Group; a significant milestone in their evolution as a trailblazer in sustainable hospitality, also known as Adoba® Hotel Dearborn/Detroit.
