The announcement is something of a coup for the City of San Diego, as the new tram system will increase the ease of transportation for visitors of Balboa Park. The vehicles are easily able to transport up to 100 passengers per tram.

Keith B. Jones, the Managing Partner and Principal for Ace Parking San Diego, was delighted that the company is able to serve the city in such a way, saying, "Ace is honored to be the operator of the Balboa Park Tram System. The hours of operation for the tram system vary depending upon the season, but regardless of the time of year, they will have a significant positive impact on the ease of transportation for park visitors. The tram will operate from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. from October to April, and will add more hours during the remaining months, operating from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. from May to October. No matter the season, the tram will run for seven days per week.
