AVONDALE, Ariz., Nov. 30, 2016 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Given its three decades of production and performance under its belt, it should come as little surprise that the Nissan Sentra continues to reinvent itself even as it enters the new model year. In addition to its distinctive restyling that was added for the 2016 model year, the 2017 Nissan Sentra now adds two performance-minded trim levels to its available offerings, and both models are coming soon to Avondale Nissan, located a short drive from downtown Phoenix, Arizona.
While the standard-configuration Sentra is powered by a popular 1.8-liter inline four-cylinder engine mated to either a six-speed manual transmission or an Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission, the two performance-geared trim levels take a different approach. These two trims, the all-new Sentra SR Turbo and Sentra NISMO editions, will instead employ a 1.6-liter Direct Inject Gas (DIG) Turbo engine, which it borrows from its Nissan JUKE sibling. This engine, geared to produce 188 horsepower and 32 highway mpg, promises to be the most powerful ever found in the iconic Sentra.
In addition to its terrific performance and distinctive style, the 2017 Nissan Sentra also offers a host of terrific technology features as well. The NissanConnect Mobile Apps Companion allows users to easily stream music or access mobile navigation, while the Online Search powered by Google makes internet browsing something that can be done using simple voice commands. Factor in the spacious seating for five and the available Bose Premium Audio sound system, and it's clear that this model is in a class all its own.
The 2017 Nissan Sentra, along with the powerful Sentra SR Turbo and Sentra NISMO editions, are now available at Avondale Nissan, located near Phoenix, Arizona. Interested drivers are encouraged to visit the dealership to schedule a test drive, and the dealership may be contacted online at avondalenissan.com, or by telephone at 877-921-9601.
