SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 31, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Two of the highest performing vehicles in the automotive industry offer some of the best features and rides of any other vehicles in their class. Now the 2014 Mazda3 and the 2013 Hyundai Elantra are going toe-to-toe to determine which vehicle's performance outshines the other's. The brand new Mazda, available now at Ingram Park Mazda, may be fresh on the road, but it is promising to give the Elantra a run for its money.
For the last model year, the 2013 Hyundai Elantra has been outperforming some of the best vehicles in its class. When it comes to power, the Elantra tops out at 148 horsepower, which beats out the Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic and the Chevy Cruze. Capable of earning an EPA-estimated 38 mpg highway, the Elantra also beat out the Corolla in efficiency. The vehicle's interior offers up to 110.4 cubic feet of space, which also wins over the Ford Focus Sedan, Chevy Cruze, Honda Civic and even the 2014 Mazda3.
The Mazda3 was completely revamped for the 2014 model year. The automaker dressed its best-selling vehicle with its new KODO "Soul of Motion" design language. It also added a second SKYACTIV powertrain option to its repertoire. When packed with its original 2.0-liter SKYACTIV-G gasoline engine, the all-new Mazda3 produces a 155-horsepower performance while churning out up to 150 pound-feet of torque, which exceeds the Elantra. Also capable of earning an EPA-estimated 41 mpg highway, the 2014 Mazda3 goes even further while utilizing less fuel.
The Elantra may offer more overall interior space, but when the passenger space is allocated, the Mazda3 wins by hair. Offering passengers 96.3 cu. ft. of space compared to the Elantra's 95.6 cu. ft., the revamped Mazda3 is dedicated to giving its travelers the best of everything to make each moment behind the wheel more comfortable.
The clear winner is the 2014 Mazda3, but there is no denying the Elantra's strengths and capabilities. Drivers are encouraged to test drive the 2014 Mazda3 at Ingram Park Mazda to get the personalized drive they deserve. For more information, contact the San Antonio Mazda dealership today.
